Sprint Filter: essentially free of maintenance
All Sprint Filter air filters are built with a special single-layer polyester fabric with a specific degree of filtration (80 micron for P08, 37 micron for P037 and 85 micron for P08 F1-85) and a constant and lasting air flow in the time (5,050 l/m2/sec. for the P08 fabric, 4,500 l/m2/sec. for the P037 fabric and 15,000 l/m2/sec. for the P08 F1-85). The maintenance intervals are the same as those indicated by the vehicle manufacturer, only in case of use in particularly dusty areas, it is advisable to inspect it a few thousand kilometers earlier than recommended by the manufacturer.
Maintenance of Sprint Filter Air Filters
All Sprint Filter air filters can be regenerated in seconds and without any need to purchase maintenance kits. Then proceed by reaching the filter box (read the use and maintenance manual of your vehicle in this regard) and extract the Sprint Filter air filter, visually checking its perfect integrity. With one hand, hold the Sprint Filter air filter still and blow the entire filtering surface with compressed air, directing the jet of air from the inside outwards for about 15 seconds (depending on the capacity of the compressor).
At this point the Sprint Filter air filter is clean and ready to be placed back in the filter box and the maintenance practice can be considered completed. If the filter is particularly dirty due to the presence of oil residues, any detergent available can be used and proceed with washing and removing these residues. Once the Sprint Filter air filter has been eliminated and perfectly degreased, you can proceed with blowing it with compressed air and then inserting the air filter into its seat.
