Promising race weekend for Danilo Petrucci
It was a promising race weekend for Danilo Petrucci, former MotoGP star and this year’s WSBK rookie. The Barni Racing Team rider is quickly adapting to his Ducati Panigale V4R and, despite his weight disadvantage compared to his opponents, managed to secure a Top 5 finish in Race 1, a Top 10 finish in the Superpole Race, and a sixth-place finish in Race 2 that allowed him to access Parc Fermee for the first time as the best Independent Team pilot. Petrucci is now in eighth place in the WSBK standings and is aiming to improve even further at the upcoming European round in Assen, Netherlands.
