Aprilia Tuareg 660 continued to amaze

After the impressive double win at the debut of the Italian Motorally Championship last month, the Tuareg 660 continued to amaze and set the pace at Gioia dei Marsi during the third and fourth rounds of the championship. Jacopo Cerutti, riding the Tuareg 660 developed by Aprilia Racing with the technical collaboration of GCorse, had another stunning performance in Abruzzo. In the G-1000 class, Cerutti finished fifth on Saturday and second after a great battle with Alessandro Botturi on Sunday. However, in the Sunday rally, Cerutti and Tuareg made a comeback, dominating the other bikes and only missing the overall win by 17″. Francesco Montanari, riding Aprilia Racing’s second Tuareg 660, finished fourth on Saturday and took third place on Sunday despite an issue with the rear brake.

Aprilia Tuareg 660 and Sprint Filter

Aprilia Racing’s new project aimed at bringing the Aprilia brand back to the big rally raids is proceeding positively, with the Tuareg 660 performing well on different terrains and on fast tracks. The competition version of the Aprilia Tuareg 660, developed by Aprilia Racing in collaboration with GCorse, is equipped with a special air filter developed by Sprint Filter for use in adverse and sandy weather conditions. Sprint Filter has chosen Aprilia to develop products for future use in rally raids, and the company is increasingly interested in the world of adventure bikes.

In addition to the Italian Motorally Championship, the Aprilia Tuareg 660 also made headlines at the Italian GPX Championship. Two nearly stock Tuareg 660s were used, with only minimal modifications required for competition. Paolo Pettinari, already a winner of one of the three rounds at Riotorto, repeated his performance at Gioia dei Marsi by winning the Sunday race, with the other Tuareg 660 ridden by Michele Pradelli taking second place. This fantastic one-two finish demonstrates how the Tuareg 660 has become the new benchmark among adventure bikes.
