Thirteen years of collaboration, zero quality issues: Ducati’s choice rewards technology, reliability and sustainability

Sprint Filter and Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. have reached a strategic agreement to equip the entire Panigale V4 family — original equipment, original spare parts, the Ducati Performance catalogue and Ducati Corse applications — with Sprint Filter’s P08 high-performance air filter.
Sprint Filter is proud to announce that the entire Ducati Panigale V4 family will now be equipped as original equipment with the Sprint Filter P08 high-performance air filter, extending a technical collaboration that began in 2013 and establishing Sprint Filter as the air filtration supplier for Ducati’s most exclusive production motorcycles.
From the Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S to the race-bred Panigale V4 R, including limited-production models such as the Superleggera V4, Superleggera V4 Centenario and future special editions based on the V4 platform, every motorcycle will leave Borgo Panigale fitted with the same Sprint Filter P08 element.
The agreement also extends to all official Ducati spare parts for the Panigale V4 range, the complete Ducati Performance aftermarket catalogue and Ducati Corse applications, allowing customers to benefit from exactly the same air filter technology specified for original equipment.
This is the first time a manufacturer of high-performance air filters has been selected as the original equipment supplier across an entire flagship supersport motorcycle family, including production models, limited editions, performance accessories and factory racing applications.
Thirteen years of validation, zero compromise on quality
Sprint Filter’s relationship with Ducati began in 2013 with the 1199 Panigale R, followed in 2014 by the 1199 Superleggera. Since then, Sprint Filter technology has accompanied the evolution of Ducati’s most advanced superbikes through every generation — without a single quality or reliability issue across thirteen years of use.
It is precisely this flawless track record – built on more than thirteen years of laboratory development, road validation, track testing and direct racing experience – that led Ducati to extend adoption of the Sprint Filter P08 across the entire Panigale V4 platform, confirming it as the standard air filtration system for the brand’s flagship supersport motorcycles.
An ecological choice
Ducati’s decision also reflects a growing focus on sustainability throughout the maintenance lifecycle of its motorcycles. The Sprint Filter P08 eliminates two environmental drawbacks typical of conventional filtration systems: on one hand, paper filters, which are discarded and replaced at every service interval, generating ongoing waste over the motorcycle’s lifetime; on the other, washable filters that rely on chemical detergents and oils to retain dust, with the associated environmental impact of disposal and maintenance products.
Built around Sprint Filter’s patented single-layer polyester filtering medium, the P08 is completely oil-free and can be cleaned using compressed air only – with no detergents, chemicals or maintenance kits required. Designed to last the entire service life of the motorcycle, it drastically reduces both the waste generated by disposable paper filters and the chemical consumption typical of traditional washable filters.
Performance
At the heart of the P08 lies Sprint Filter’s patented single-layer polyester filtering medium, an oil-free synthetic material engineered to deliver exceptionally high airflow while maintaining outstanding filtration efficiency. Compared with conventional paper filters, the P08 dramatically reduces pressure drop, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently and helping preserve maximum power and torque throughout the rev range.
