Sprint Filter introduces a new racing air filter for the Aprilia RS660, purpose-built for track use and competitive racing applications.
Designed to enhance the dynamic behavior of the intake system, this new product features a removable Add On integrated into the filter design. More than a simple accessory, the Add On plays an active role in airflow management inside the airbox, delivering a measurable performance advantage over the same filter used without it.
Comparative analysis between the two configurations, with and without the Add On, confirmed the technical effectiveness of this solution. The version equipped with the Add On showed a clear functional benefit, improving the quality and stability of the incoming airflow and enabling the engine to operate with a more effective air charge under real dynamic conditions.
From a technical perspective, the Add On helps organize and divide the airflow more efficiently, providing key advantages on an in-line engine layout such as the Aprilia RS660. These include more uniform air distribution between cylinders, reduced turbulence within the intake system, and more effective management of the ram-air effect. The result is improved airflow balance, greater stability in intake behavior, and enhanced overall efficiency of the system.
The benefits are noticeable throughout the entire engine speed range, with the most significant gains occurring during acceleration and in the mid-range. The clearest peak is reached between 7,000 and 9,000 rpm, where the engine delivers a stronger and more effective response, highlighting the contribution of the Add On in the phases of performance that matter most on track.
A further key indicator emerged during the analysis: with the Add On installed, the engine required more than 1.5% additional fuel. This confirms that the engine is processing a greater effective air mass, clearly indicating improved filling efficiency and a more effective intake process compared to the configuration without the Add On.
With this new product (Part Number #K176S F1-85, available only with the P08 F1-85 filtering media), Sprint Filter further strengthens its commitment to motorsport-driven innovation, translating track experience into advanced technical solutions capable of delivering a real performance advantage.
This racing air filter was developed on track with the support of IVR Racing Project, the team set to compete in the 2026 ESBK Sportbike Championship.
